News from BCC Roma

The newsletter of the Cooperative Credit of Rome dedicated an article to the DIHV, "The future of digital transformation processes", describing the objectives and activities of the DIHV. A sign of interest from the banking world towards the needs of local SMEs, also in terms of financing for innovation.

Decree Transition 4.0

Transition 4.0, the new industrial policy starts. The Court of Auditors registered the decree of the Minister of Economic Development Stefano Patuanelli. It provides for the allocation of funds for 7 billion and an expansion of the number of beneficiaries of the 4.0 incentives.
In particular, the Plan provides for greater attention to innovation, green investments and design and aesthetic conception activities.

Compared to similar manuals, the text stands out for some innovative classifications and partitions of the subject, developed by the author for a better and more immediate understanding of the discipline. In this sense, some of the categories of the past deserved to be reviewed and modernized in consideration of the unstoppable development that administrative law has known in recent decades and continues to know: just think of the recent code of public contracts (Legislative Decree no. 50/2016) and the reforms that have affected administrative transparency, civic access and the administrative procedure (legislative decree number 33/2013 as well as law no. 124/2015 and related implementing decrees). The path to digital transformation in enterprises

Knowledge

Digital innovation provides numerous technologies, which are constantly updated. Knowing them is essential for a company that wants improve productivity or evolve its offer on the market.
The DIHV offers seminars, meetings, conferences, "information pills" online to disseminate knowledge on different levels of corporate responsibility providing an effective and rapid approach to innovation.

Design

Adopting a new technology implies the design of a new strategic, decision-making and production process that must be designed on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the culture and values of the Company, so that they are highlighted, strengthening their identity.
By supporting the top management, the optimal - strategic and operational - solutions will be developed, also based on the Company's identity.

Realization

In the implementation phase, the Company implements digital innovation by making use of the contribution of experience and know-how of the DIHV, to be drawn on for feasibility studies, details of technological choices, recognition of sources of financing, selection and training of personnel, choice and evaluation of adequate Performance Indices (KPIs).
Corporate plans and strategies have an ongoing reference point in the DIHV.

Areas of interest

Agri-food

Reduce the use of fertilizers and pesticides - from 20 to 60% - thanks to the IoT and Big Data, or protect the excellence of Made in Italy through authentication procedures; along the entire food production chain, technological transformation generates ICT-based applications for new business models of agricultural and agro-industrial enterprises.

Industrial production

Impresa 4.0 was made specifically to create the “factory of the future”, which will be intelligent and networked; Digital Transformation appears both within the production process and in the strategic stages of defining the target of interest and the range of products to be placed on the market, and in the various stages of production, from the manufacturing procedure to logistics, therefore beyond company boundaries.

Liberal professions

3D printers for scale models of architectural projects, Artificial Intelligence applications in the legal field, connected sensors for the nursing monitoring of frail people, are just some examples of a wide range of possibilities; Trade Associations and individual Professional Firms can benefit from infinite digital tools, which support any need.

Public Administration

The digital PA manages billions of data on every aspect of reality, and they are the basis of monitoring, analysis and control systems; but not only: central and local administrations must acquire and implement technological relationship models, as requested by digital citizens; and enhance digital infrastructures.

Tourism and culture

The hospitality industry (hotels, catering) and the leisure industry (sports, culture, entertainment) can strengthen their international competitiveness with technological upgrading. Big data to analyze the preferences of the public, augmented reality for a new travel experience, are just a hint on the potential of digital strategies.

Commerce and large-sale distribution (GDO)

Augmented reality in the fitting rooms of fashion stores to improve the shopping experience, Big Data to monitor the progress of receipts of a large supermarket, integration between e-commerce and physical stores to retain even the youngest customers; digital transformation offers numerous tools that are easy to implement in retail.
